Frequently Asked Questions
This page contains a list of frequently asked questions about the association and educator rights.
- Why should I join?
The Association is your professional organization. It is a community and organization that fosters best practices at the local, state, and national level. The Association stands for reducing class sizes, making schools safer, securing technology resources, and increasing school funding. The Association offers liability protection to educators and has attorneys on-staff who understand the litigative issues involved with education. Read more about member benefits.
- What about PACE?
Don't be fooled by other organizations like PACE that offer liability insurance. They don't offer as much protection. They don't have the expert attorneys that can protect educators. They don't actively work toward promoting best practices in education. To put it simply, they don't promote the interests of educators.
Do your research about PACE. If you want the Wal-mart of professional organizations, PACE is it. PACE is an anti-union, right wing front organization. It offers fewer services and protections, does not have local associations, and does not actively foster best practices in education at the local, state, and national level. PACE is funded by right wing organizations that are hostile to educators, unions, and employee representation.
